Denmark to provide Ukraine with 15,000 long-range artillery rounds

Ukraine is to receive 15,000 long-range artillery rounds from Denmark.

Details: Fedorov said partner countries had been asked to review part of their planned support, including supplying long-range shells instead of short-range ammunition.
Quote from Fedorov: "Denmark responded promptly to this request. As a result, the defence forces will receive an additional 15,000 long-range artillery rounds. Some of them have already arrived in Ukraine."
More details: Long-range artillery rounds are among the most urgently needed items on the front line, Fedorov said. Ukraine's Defence Ministry reported earlier that securing supplies of ammunition with a range of at least 30 km is one of Ukraine's priorities.
Quote: "In conditions where the drone kill zone is constantly expanding, they make it possible to strike the enemy and its logistics and command posts more effectively while reducing risks to our troops."
Background:
- In late May, Ukraine's Defence Procurement Agency (DOT) concluded contracts to purchase a record number of long-range 155mm artillery rounds. Six manufacturers won the tender.
- It was reported earlier that Ukraine and Norway have agreed to launch joint production of long-range 155mm artillery shells. Before that, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger had confirmed that the company would be able to supply 100,000 long-range 155mm artillery munitions to Ukraine.
