Details: Koretskyi said the funding will help accelerate distributed generation projects designed to support Ukraine's energy system amid continued Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Quote: "The €44.6 million grant will complement the €80 million in EBRD loan financing secured earlier and will enable the planned work to be carried out more quickly. The total capacity of the new generation facilities will be 62 MW. This, in turn, will strengthen the energy system amid a shortage of generating capacity caused by Russian attacks on energy infrastructure."

Background: The Naftogaz Group has signed an agreement with the US EXIM Bank as part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-2026), providing for the possibility of attracting up to US$300 million for the purchase of American equipment needed to repair oil and gas infrastructure destroyed by Russia.
