Ten people killed and 34 injured in Russian attack on Kyiv
Ten people have been killed and 34 injured in a Russian strike on the city of Kyiv on the night of 1-2 July.

Quote from Tkachenko: "As of 05:10, 20 people are confirmed to have been injured in an attack."
Details: Tkachenko earlier reported that two people had been killed.
He also said that 28 locations across the city had been affected by the attack.
Tkachenko noted that the damage had been recorded mainly in residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
Update at 05:51: Tkachenko reported that the death toll had risen to three, while the number of people injured had increased to 25.
Update at 06:17: Klitschko said that five people had been confirmed dead in Kyiv. A total of 34 people were injured, 32 of whom were taken to hospital, while two received medical treatment at the scene.
At 06:56, Klitschko reported that the death toll in Kyiv had risen to 10.
Background:
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on 1 July that Russia was preparing a new large-scale strike against Ukraine.
- It was later reported that Russian forces had attacked Kyiv with drones. Subsequently, missiles were also reported heading towards the capital.
