Fires and damaged houses: aftermath of Russian attack recorded in five districts in Kyiv Oblast

Russia launched a large-scale attack on Kyiv Oblast on the night of 1-2 July using drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles. Damage has been reported in five districts of the oblast.

Details: Firefighters are tackling fires at warehouse buildings and a house in the Bucha district. A car was damaged.
Six houses, student accommodation and a car were damaged in the Brovary district.
Houses were also damaged in the Obukhiv and Fastiv districts.
A car was damaged in the Vyshhorod district.
Quote: "All the appropriate services are working at the sites. Information on the aftermath of the attack is being confirmed. An air-raid warning remains in effect. I urge everyone not to ignore air-raid warnings and to stay in safe places until the all-clear is given."
Background:
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on 1 July that Russia was preparing a new large-scale strike against Ukraine.
- It was later reported that Russian forces had attacked Kyiv with drones. Subsequently, missiles were also reported heading towards the capital.
