Ukrainian developer of UAVs and guided bombs unveils US$5,000 middle-strike drone
Ukrainian drone manufacturer DG Industry, which developed the Vyriivniuvach ("Equaliser" or "Leveller") guided aerial bomb, has presented a middle-strike modification of its Shpatel ("Spatula") decoy drone.

Details: The middle-strike version of Shpatel has a warhead weighing up to 8 kg and can travel 250 km at speeds reaching 130 km/h. The drone is controlled using a modern communications system, which makes it possible to maintain a stable control channel over a significant distance.
Quote: "Thanks to the upgraded control system, we can use this aircraft for different tasks. It can serve as a relay, flying in circles at an altitude of more than 1 km, or as an attack drone."
More details: The Shpatel decoy drone has been actively used by some units of Ukraine's defence forces since 2025. The drone is launched from a pneumatic catapult, can cover a distance of 420 km and carries about one kilogram of explosives for self-destruction.
One Shpatel decoy drone costs about US$5,000. The manufacturer said the middle-strike version of Shpatel costs roughly the same.
For reference: DG Industry is a Ukrainian drone manufacturer that produces the Poseidon and Shchedryk reconnaissance drones. The company recently unveiled the Vyriivniuvach, the first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb, which costs about three times less than its US-made equivalents.
