Quote from Kryvosheienko: "The number of people injured in the Russian jet-powered UAV strike on a petrol station in Sumy has risen to seven. Four women and three men have been brought to a medical facility. Three people have been taken to hospital, two transferred to outpatient treatment and two are undergoing examination."
Details: Kryvosheienko earlier reported that four people, all petrol station employees, had been injured in the attack and were in a serious condition.
He added that a fire caused by the strike has damaged the station's infrastructure.
Kordon.Media noted that the petrol station was not operating while an air-raid warning was in effect, but staff were on site.
The jet-powered Shahed struck the petrol station at around 08:30. The petrol station was destroyed.
Hryhorov reported a meeting with owners and representatives of petrol station networks in Sumy Oblast.
"In a frontline region, where the Russians are deliberately targeting fuel infrastructure, the stable operation of petrol stations is a matter of security, community life support and the uninterrupted operation of emergency services," he said.
The meeting covered operations under heightened risk conditions, coordination between communities, services and market operators, and alternative fuel supply options in the event of infrastructure damage.
Following the meeting, Sumy Oblast identified recommendations and tasks for relevant services and businesses on strengthening security and ensuring stable facility operations:
- setting up shelters for staff and visitors
- engineering protection of facilities
- personal protective equipment for workers
- timely threat notifications
- staff training
- maintaining necessary fuel reserves.
The oblast is also working on streamlining procedures for temporary operation of mobile and modular petrol stations during the restoration of damaged ones.
