Details: Despite doctors' efforts, Viktoriia's injuries proved fatal.
Quote from Zelenskyi: "This is a terrible tragedy that goes beyond human understanding. The enemy directed a deadly Shahed drone at a house where a family with three children was sleeping peacefully. No words can ease the pain of the parents and loved ones."
On the night of 2-3 July, Russian forces attacked Lozova with an attack drone. The UAV struck a residential property occupied by two people.
The State Emergency Service reported that all residents of the property were in the cellar when the strike occurred. The blast wave jammed the door, leaving them unable to get out on their own. Rescue workers freed five people, including two children.
"Workers from the State Emergency Service cleared the ruins literally piece by piece, pulling the whole family out from under the rubble. Thank you, guys, for your swift work in hellish conditions," Serhii Zelenskyi said.
Six people were injured in the attack: a 31-year-old man, his 27-year-old wife, their three daughters aged 10, 6 and 1 and the woman's 58-year-old mother.
The 10-year-old girl was diagnosed as suffering from blast injuries and thermal burns covering about 40% of her body and taken to hospital in a critical condition. The girl's parents, her two younger sisters and her grandmother were suffering from shock.
