The country has also committed €1 billion to the PURL programme, under which European allies finance deliveries of US-made weapons to Ukraine.

Background:

  • Ukraine and the Netherlands recently agreed to launch production of Ukrainian unmanned systems in the Netherlands under the Build with Ukraine programme.
  • The Dutch government has also announced an additional €500 million for drones and air defence equipment for Ukraine.
