Russia attacks Ukraine with five ballistic missiles and 169 drones, air defence downs 139 UAVs

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with five ballistic missiles, two anti-radar missiles and 169 drones of various types on the night of 7-8 July. Air defence has destroyed 139 Russian UAVs.

Details: From 18:00 on 7 July, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the Black Sea and five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from temporarily occupied Crimea and Russia's Bryansk Oblast.
The Russians also deployed 169 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs. They were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Millerovo as well as from Donetsk, Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Hits by five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles have been recorded at four locations and by 20 UAVs at 11 locations, with the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) recorded at seven locations. In addition, the two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles failed to reach their targets.
The attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace. Please observe safety measures."
Background: Russian missile strikes on the night of 7-8 July caused fires in several districts in Kyiv. Two people were injured.
