Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar have agreed on plans for a future meeting during a brief conversation in Ankara.

Details: Magyar reiterated the position he had expressed earlier to foreign journalists: Hungary supports Ukraine, considers Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin the unequivocal aggressor and the party responsible for the war, but will not supply weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He also disclosed details of his brief conversation with the Ukrainian president.
"Yesterday, during the reception marking the opening of the summit, I had a brief conversation with President Zelenskyy," the Hungarian prime minister said.
Magyar also revealed a provisional agreement on the venue for a full bilateral meeting with Zelenskyy.
"We agreed that we will meet in the near future – either in Budapest or in Kyiv – and then travel together to Berehove in Zakarpattia," he said. This is the format of the bilateral meeting that the Ukrainian side has been advocating.
Background:
- Previously, Magyar announced in Ankara that he will meet with Zelenskyy.
- Polish President Karol Nawrocki also spoke about his conversation with Zelenskyy in Ankara and changed his tone towards Ukraine.
- One of the main topics of the summit has been the renewed escalation of the Danish-American dispute, with Denmark's prime minister declaring her country's readiness to defend its land in response to US President Donald Trump's statements.
