Details: Ukrainian military personnel will receive ten autonomous Daimler Truck Zetros AI vehicles equipped with a Ground Autonomy Kit, as well as ten MANDRILL unmanned ground platforms. The equipment will be provided by Quantum Systems and Daimler Truck Defence.
The unmanned systems will be tested at the front, including in the role of autonomous logistics platforms.
"For us, this is not only new equipment but also an opportunity to jointly shape the standards of military logistics of the future, preserving the lives of our service personnel and increasing the effectiveness of combat missions," Vadym Hladkov, First Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, commented on the agreement.
The Daimler Truck Zetros AI military trucks are a project by Daimler Truck, which integrates the MOSAIC Ground Autonomy Kit autonomous control system onto the vehicles built on the MOSAIC UXS ecosystem.
"[The kit – ed.] supports autonomous supply, convoy movement and multi-domain mission execution, integrating ground vehicles with other unmanned systems into a unified interoperable operational network," the National Guard explained.
The German company Quantum Systems previously cooperated with Ukrainian manufacturers on drones for Ukraine. In particular, the joint venture with Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics, Quantum Frontline Robotics (QFI), dispatched the first batch of Linza 3.0 drones to Ukraine. Subsequently, drones manufactured in Germany will be directed to Ukraine's defence forces.
The company also received an order to supply 15,000 STRILA interceptor drones for the National Guard of Ukraine, to be produced by Ukrainian company WIY Drones.
