Drones strike fuel depots, defence plant and oil terminal in Azov and Taganrog – photos, videos

Drones attacked Russia's Rostov Oblast overnight and into the morning of 10 July, hitting fuel depots and an optical-mechanical defence plant in the city of Azov as well as a port oil terminal in Taganrog.

Details: Russian authorities confirmed drone attacks on the cities of Taganrog and Azov.

Exilenova+ said the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant JSC had been targeted. The facility manufactures optoelectronic, radar and precision systems and is part of Russia's military-industrial complex. Fires were also reported at fuel storage facilities.

In addition, a fire broke out at the Kurgannefteprodukt port terminal (Yugtranzitservice OJSC) in Taganrog. The terminal's primary function is loading and unloading petroleum products onto marine vessels.

Slyusar reported drone attacks on the cities of Taganrog and Azov as well as the Azov and Matveyev Kurgan districts.

Taganrog

He claimed a drone attack had caused a fire in an office building in the village of Kagalnik in the Azov district.

He also said that drone strikes had caused fires at two petroleum product storage facilities in Azov. "Firefighting operations are underway and emergency services are working at the scene."

Slyusar added that firefighters are also continuing efforts to extinguish a blaze at the seaport in Taganrog.

Background: The Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai came under a drone attack on the night of 9-10 July.
