Russian drone strikes civilians in Kherson: one killed, two injured

Russian forces dropped an explosive from a drone on the Korabel neighbourhood in Kherson on the night of 11-12 July. One local resident was killed and two others were injured.

Quote: "The enemy dropped an explosive device from a drone in the Korabel neighbourhood overnight. As a result of the attack, a 48-year-old man was killed at the scene. Two other men, aged 43 and 58, were injured. They sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to their limbs."

Details: Shanko urged residents of riverside neighbourhoods to evacuate to safer areas. He said the military administration is ready to help residents leave and provide the necessary assistance.

Background:

  • The Korabel neighbourhood in Kherson is under constant Russian attacks. Russian forces regularly target civilians and infrastructure with FPV drones.
  • On the morning of 11 July, Russian drones also attacked the area, injuring three civilians.
  • On 9 July, the Russians deliberately targeted buses and ambulance crews who had arrived to assist those injured. Two people were killed and 22 others were injured in the attacks.
