Two civilians have been killed in a Russian drone attack on a car in Kherson on the morning of 9 July.

Details: Two civilians who were in the car were killed in the strike.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under the procedural guidance of Kherson District Prosecutor's Office into a war crime resulting in loss of life (Article 438.2 of Ukraine's Criminal Code).

Prosecutors are working with investigators to document the aftermath of the latest Russian strike and gather evidence of the war crime.

Background: Russian forces launched two drone strikes on a car and a fixed-route minibus in Kherson's Korabelnyi district on the morning of 8 July. A woman, 72, was killed in the attack, and nine people sustained injuries.
