Among the priority areas, Zelenskyy listed relations with the United States, particularly agreements on licences to produce Patriot air defence systems and broader security cooperation; the European anti-ballistic missile project; Ukraine's accession to the European Union; relations with neighbouring countries, particularly Poland and Hungary; cooperation with the Middle East and Gulf states; China; and key international organisations.

The president also said Ukraine needs to strengthen efforts in frontline and border oblasts, increase deliveries of weapons and drones to the military, prepare for winter, accelerate the transformation of state-owned companies and implement agreements with partners on Ukraine's reconstruction.

According to Zelenskyy, implementing the updated political strategy will require personnel changes.

Quote: "We discussed the details with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko. We determined that these changes require a renewal of the Cabinet of Ministers. I am grateful to Yuliia for her clear, steady and effective work as prime minister, for her years of productive service on Ukraine's team, and I have offered her the opportunity to lead a new and important area of relations with a key partner."

Details: Zelenskyy expressed hope that the necessary changes to the government could be approved together with parliament.

He also announced changes to the leadership of Ukraine's law enforcement agencies but did not specify which positions would be affected.
