Russian-occupied Sevastopol has been completely cut off from electricity.

Details: The situation arose "due to a technical breakdown in the main power grids of the Crimean energy system", with the Black Sea Regional Dispatch Centre imposing "a large volume of power restrictions".

"During emergency repair works, maintaining the scheduled rotation by Sevastopolenergo LLC is not possible," the company stated.

They added that consumers in both of the queues into which Sevastopol is divided are currently without power. [A "queue" is defined as a group of consumers and businesses using a specific amount of megawatts – ed.]
