Details: It is reported that during the All for Victory! forum, Putin inspected an exhibition of new developments for Russian troops involved in the war against Ukraine.
Commenting on fuel supplies in Russia, he said that the situation would "gradually stabilise". As he said, this also applies to temporarily occupied Crimea.
Quote from Putin: "It also concerns Crimea. Because work is already beginning to create such a supply system that will be very difficult for the adversary to reach."
Background:
- The situation with energy supply in temporarily occupied Crimea has been worsening due to strikes by Ukraine's defence forces on energy infrastructure: regions are regularly left without electricity, sometimes for several days, and in most cases there are no scheduled outages.
- On 12-13 July, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Kuban-Crimea energy bridge and 11 energy nodes in Russian-occupied territories.
- On the nights of 11-12 and 12-13 July, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces attacked nine power substations of varying capacity and a key electricity transfer point of the Kuban-Crimea energy bridge from Russia to Crimea. It was hit a second time in the next two days.
- A fuel crisis is intensifying in Russia and in the occupied territories amid ongoing Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries: shortages of motor fuel, previously seen in occupied Sevastopol and Crimea, have spread to the capital region.
- The Russian authorities have declared a regional state of emergency in Crimea and Sevastopol.
