Von der Leyen arrives in Kyiv
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday 15 July.

Details: Von der Leyen noted that this is her 11th visit to the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Details: During her visit to Kyiv, von der Leyen plans to announce new initiatives to integrate the defence industries of Ukraine and the EU, enabling them to produce more and produce faster.

Background: Earlier, Von der Leyen visited Paris for the celebrations marking France's national day, which took place on 14 July. On 13 July, she also attended a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and the inaugural meeting of the Integrated Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition, both of which included Ukraine.
