Russia drops five guided aerial bombs on Sumy, civilian infrastructure hit

Russian forces dropped five guided aerial bombs on the city of Sumy on the night of 16-17 July, striking civilian infrastructure facilities.

Quote: "According to early reports, five guided aerial bomb strikes have been recorded. Less than six hours passed between the previous guided bomb strike on the outskirts of Sumy and this one."

Details: Hryhorov reported that civilian infrastructure had been hit in several parts of the city, including two strikes in the central area.

Quote: "A multi-storey non-residential building was damaged at one of the impact sites. Hundreds of windows in surrounding buildings were shattered. Inspections of the affected areas are ongoing. All the appropriate services are working at the scene."

Details: Hryhorov said information on casualties and the full extent of the damage is still being confirmed.

Background: Seven people, including a four-year-old child, were injured in Russian attacks on the Sumy district on 16 July.
