Government appoints Tsutskiridze as acting head of Ukraine's National Police
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers (Ukrainian government) has appointed Maksym Tsutskiridze as acting head of the National Police, replacing Ivan Vyhivskyi, who has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs.

Details: Tsutskiridze served as the first deputy head of the National Police.
As previously reported, National Police head Ivan Vyhivskyi had been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs on 16 July.
According to the National Police website, Tsutskiridze served as deputy head of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police from December 2017 to September 2019.
He was deputy head of the National Police from September 2019 to September 2023 before later becoming first deputy head.
Background:
- On 16 July, the Ukrainian parliament approved the appointment of Serhii Koretskyi as prime minister. Koretskyi previously served as CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the country's largest oil and gas company, and Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil producer. Parliament has also appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers.
- Interfax-Ukraine, citing the National Police, reported that Tsutskiridze would serve as acting head of the National Police.
