Large-scale drone attack on Moscow and Moscow Oblast: oil depot and Wildberries warehouse on fire

Moscow and Moscow Oblast came under a large-scale drone attack on the night of 17-18 July. Fires broke out at an oil depot in Noginsk and a Wildberries logistics centre in Elektrostal, while Russian authorities reported dozens of affected people.

Details: Wildberries & Russ confirmed that its logistics centre in Elektrostal had come under attack. A fire broke out at the facility and employees were evacuated.

Based on publicly available videos, ASTRA identified the burning building in Elektrostal as a Wildberries warehouse. Sobyanin said 24 people had been injured there, with some of them "in a critical condition".

A fire also broke out at an oil depot in Noginsk. Russian authorities claimed it had been caused by the crash of a drone. They said two people had been injured.

Exilenova+ wrote that explosions had also been heard in Tver. The channel also reported a fire at the oil depot in Noginsk in Moscow Oblast located less than 10 kilometres from Elektrostal.

Sobyanin said that more than 370 drones had headed towards Moscow overnight, claiming that 64 of them were intercepted on their approach to the city. These figures have not been independently verified.
