Russian forces have carried out a double strike on the locomotive and passenger carriages of a train in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Early reports indicate that no one was injured.
Source: Mykola Kalashnyk, Minister for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport
Details: Kalashnyk said all passengers and staff were moved to safety thanks to the work of a monitoring group and the swift response of railway workers.
He pointed out that Russia continues to deliberately attack civilian railway infrastructure, but that train services and the work of Ukraine's railway system are continuing.
Kalashnyk said the relevant ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the state-run railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), is working to strengthen the resilience of railway transport amid Russian attacks.
