Number injured in Kyiv rises to 17, 89-year-old woman killed

The number of people injured in Russia's overnight attack on Kyiv has risen to 17, with one person killed.

Quote: "As of now, 17 people are known to have been injured. The number of fatalities remains unchanged – an 89-year-old woman was killed as a result of the Russian attack."

Details: Investigators have received approximately 350 reports from residents regarding property damage.

The attack damaged apartment buildings, houses, a dormitory, shops, a pharmacy, administrative buildings, a cinema, a metro station, office premises and vehicles.

Background:

• The Russians attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles on the night of 18-19 July. More than 40 missiles struck the Ukrainian capital in less than an hour. Residential buildings, a shopping centre, other buildings and vehicles caught fire in the city.
• It was previously reported that one person was killed and 15 others were injured in Kyiv as a result of the attack.
