Zelenskyy will have "key conversations" after today's meetings with commanders
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced "key conversations" for 20 July following talks with military commanders.

Details: Zelenskyy said he continued speaking with experienced Ukrainian military leaders, including Mykhailo Drapatyi, Volodymyr Horbatiuk and Oleh Apostol.
He said that "these were briefings on the situation on the fronts and a broader conversation about the situation in the war".
Quote: "It is important to assess our further strategy, our Ukrainian active actions, how to force Russia to end this war with a peace that is dignified for Ukraine and with guaranteed security. This has various components, and I want to hear how commanders at all levels in our defence forces of Ukraine see this.

Background:
- Zelenskyy said on 18 July that he had held talks with former minister of defence Mykhailo Fedorov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and promised that "decisions regarding the army will be worked out".
- Protests demanding the reinstatement of Fedorov as minister of defence and Syrskyi's dismissal took place in Kyiv and other cities on 16, 17 and 18 July. A third day of protests was announced in Kyiv for the evening of 18 July.
- Zelenskyy heard reports from combat commanders of the defence forces and announced a special Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting amid the decision to replace the minister of defence.
- Zelenskyy spoke for a second consecutive day with corps commanders fighting on the most intense sections of the front.
- On 19 July, Zelenskyy met with Mykhailo Drapatyi, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Staff's Deputy Chief Volodymyr Horbatiuk and Oleh Apostol, Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces.
