Five killed and 20 injured in Russian attacks on Sumy and Donetsk oblasts

Five civilians were killed and 20 injured in Russian attacks on Sumy and Donetsk oblasts on 19 July.

Quote from the National Police: "Russian forces have struck 27 settlements in Sumy Oblast over the past day.

The Sumy hromada was hit the hardest. A 54-year-old man was killed after guided aerial bombs struck the area, while three other people sustained injuries. In addition, two women were injured in attacks by Russian drones." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: Law enforcement officials said a 58-year-old woman had also been injured in a Russian drone attack on the Sad hromada.

The attacks damaged critical infrastructure facilities, industrial businesses, petrol stations, shops, warehouses, office buildings, cultural institutions, houses and high-rise residential buildings, outbuildings, garages, agricultural machinery and vehicles.

Investigators are documenting the consequences of the Russian attacks, recording the destruction and collecting evidence of Russian war crimes.

In addition, Russian forces killed four civilians in Donetsk Oblast on 19 July: two in Kramatorsk and two in Sloviansk.

Another 13 people were injured across the oblast during the day.

The authorities noted that the total number of casualties reported in Donetsk Oblast does not include those in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
