Ukraine's DevDroid unveils new ground robot with 40mm remote-controlled weapon station
Ukrainian company DevDroid has unveiled its new six-wheeled TW-40 ground robotic system equipped with a 40mm remote-controlled weapon station. The system was presented during an event organised by Tech Force in UA.

Details: The new ground robotic system is built on a wheeled platform and is designed for reconnaissance and strike missions. It is compatible with automatic 40mm grenade launchers such as the Mk 19 and AGL-53. The developers say the wheeled platform offers better mobility than the tracked version.
"Wheels perform well in all seasons, and this was exactly the type of platform requested by the military. The grenade launcher also allows troops to engage targets from both open and concealed firing positions," a DevDroid representative said.
The mounted grenade launcher has an effective range of up to 1.5 km. The robotic system can travel at speeds of up to 13 km/h, with an operational range of up to 70 km on paved roads and up to 50 km off-road. It can also remain in standby mode without moving for up to 120 hours.
Another key feature of the system is its modular design. If required, the 40mm remote-controlled weapon station can be removed, converting the platform into a logistics ground robotic system capable of carrying payloads of up to 400 kg.
The vehicle is operated using the company's Droid Box universal control system for ground drones. It supports communications via Starlink as well as other channels, including radio networks and LTE.
"The new system has already been codified, and in a few weeks the military will be able to procure it through DOT-Chain using e-Points," DevDroid said. [E-points are earned by Ukrainian units for confirmed strikes on Russian soldiers and equipment – ed.]
