Russian oil depot in Kuban catches fire after drone attack

A fire covering about 800 sq m has broken out at an oil depot in the city of Armavir in Russia's Krasnodar Krai following a drone attack.

Quote from the city administration: "Armavir has experienced one of the largest attacks: the oil depot in the Northern Industrial Zone was targeted by more than 16 drones. According to emergency services, the strike has caused a fire at the facility, covering an area of about 800 sq m."

Details: The city administration said nine fire appliances and over 40 firefighters from Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations have been deployed to extinguish the fire.

Background: Large Wildberries logistics centres in the Russian cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in Stavropol Krai caught fire following a drone attack on the night of 21-22 July. Wildberries is Russia's largest online retailer.
