Margulis Revenue House in Odesa damaged in Russian attack – photos
The Margulis Revenue House has been damaged as a result of a Russian attack on the city of Odesa on 21 July.

Details: The building was constructed in 1912 by engineer Felix Pappe as a revenue house. It belonged to Ihnatii Margulis, a prominent engineer and technologist who served as managing director of the Odesa Telephone Exchange and was also the leaseholder of the city's power station.
Located at 34B Marazliivska Street, the six-storey building is one of Odesa's finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture. Designed in the Jugendstil style with neoclassical and Empire influences, it stood out among the city's apartment buildings of the 1910s for its scale and innovative block-based layout.
The building comprises two sections. Owing to the sloping terrain, the ground floor on the Marazliivska Street side is partially below street level, while the section facing Sabanskyi Lane rises six full storeys. The elevation difference made it the tallest building in Odesa for many decades.
A memorial plaque on the building's façade commemorates Ukrainian artist Hryhorii Kryzhevskyi, who once lived there.
