Ten killed, 100 injured in Russian strike on training ground in Kyiv Oblast, two criminal cases opened

Ten people were killed and around a hundred were injured in a Russian missile strike on a training ground in Kyiv Oblast on the afternoon of 24 July. Two criminal proceedings have been opened over the attack.

Quote: "Russia has once again launched a missile strike on Kyiv Oblast. Ten people have been killed, and around 100 others have suffered injuries of varying severity. The information is being confirmed."

Details: Kravchenko added that the Prosecutor General's Office is exercising procedural guidance in criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Criminal proceedings have also been opened under Article 367.3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over possible improper performance of official duties in organising and holding the event, which led to deaths and other serious consequences.

Quote: "War does not exempt anyone from responsibility for management decisions. On the contrary – it demands maximum professionalism, caution and awareness at every step. The investigation will establish who made the decision to hold the event, who approved its location, timing and format, what safety measures were provided for, and whether the risks were properly assessed under martial law."

Background: It was previously reported that Russian forces struck Kyiv Oblast with missiles on the afternoon of 24 July. A training ground where a weapons exhibition was taking place was hit in the attack. Early reports indicated six deaths and dozens injured.
