Latvian president comments on destruction of honorary consulate in Sloviansk in Russian strike
Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs has called the Russian strike on Sloviansk, which also destroyed the building housing Latvia's honorary consulate, a war crime.

Details: "Latvia stands with Ukraine. We will continue to support the work of our honorary consul Oleksandr Pavenko, and all who remain on the front lines helping their people," he wrote.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called the incident yet another violation of international law by Russia and a disregard for the protected status of civilian and consular buildings.
Quote from Sybiha: "We will immediately inform the relevant state agencies and make every effort to ensure that those responsible for this barbaric act are identified and brought to justice. We urge strong international responses to such terror. Luckily, the Honorary Consul has not been harmed. I express our solidarity with my colleague Braze Baiba and friendly Latvia."
