Ukraine downs one missile and 127 drones launched by Russia

Russia attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles and 157 drones on the night of 24-25 July. Air defences have destroyed one missile and 127 drones.

Details: From 18:00 on 24 July, Russian forces have deployed two Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles from the Black Sea as well as 157 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs. They were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Hvardiiske and Chauda.

Early reports indicated that as of 07:30, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed one Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missile and 127 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south, east and centre.

Hits by 26 UAVs have been recorded at nine locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at four locations. The Kh-59 missile did not reach its intended target.
