Trump says meeting with Zelenskyy went very well

US President Donald Trump has said that his meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy went very well.

Background:

• Zelenskyy said that during his meeting with Trump at the White House, they discussed licences for the production of interceptors for Patriot air defence systems and "several other ideas that could help".
• The meeting between the Ukrainian and US leaders took place behind closed doors without media representatives present. Neither president made any public statements afterwards. Zelenskyy spent more than an hour at the White House.
• Zelenskyy said earlier that his priorities for the visit are to secure capabilities to counter ballistic missiles and strengthen strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the US.
