Twenty Russian soldiers who surrendered twice now held in Ukrainian captivity

As of now, 20 Russian soldiers, who after being exchanged have surrendered again to Ukraine's defence forces, are being held in Ukrainian captivity.

Those who have already been in Ukrainian captivity have seen for themselves that Ukraine ensures proper detention conditions and treats Russian prisoners humanely."

Details: The headquarters added that this demonstrates that the I Want to Live and I Want to Find special projects are working effectively and conveying the truth about the conditions in captivity to Russians.

The Coordination Headquarters also noted that the repeated capture of Russian soldiers highlights a "fundamental difference between the approaches of Ukraine and Russia to their own servicemen", as in Ukraine, "military personnel who have returned from captivity have the legal right to leave military service voluntarily."
