Mandatory evacuation of families with children announced for nine more villages in Kharkiv Oblast

Due to intensifying Russian attacks, evacuation has been announced for residents of nine villages in the Staryi Saltiv hromada in the Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv Oblast, and families with children will be evacuated on a mandatory basis. Quote: "At a meeting of the Kharkiv Oblast Defence Council, a decision was made to carry out an evacuation, including the mandatory evacuation of families with children, from nine villages in the Staryi Saltiv hromada.

These settlements are currently home to 865 people, including 58 children and 64 people with reduced mobility."

Details: Syniehubov said the expansion of the mandatory evacuation zone was prompted by an increase in the intensity of Russian attacks on settlements in the Staryi Saltiv hromada.

He urged residents not to neglect their own safety and to relocate to safer hromadas within the oblast.

Syniehubov noted that evacuation routes have already been determined and temporary accommodation prepared. Local communities, law enforcement officers, rescue workers and volunteers will be involved in carrying out the evacuation.

Background: In early July, the evacuation zone for civilians was expanded in Kharkiv Oblast to include hromadas in the Kupiansk, Bohodukhiv and Kharkiv districts.
