Ukraine hits aircraft plant in occupied Crimea

Ukraine's Security Service, in cooperation with the defence forces, has struck the Yevpatoriia Aircraft Plant in temporarily occupied Crimea along with several other targets.

Details: The SBU has not specified when the strikes took place.

"Two aircraft storage hangars and a production workshop at the Yevpatoriia Aircraft Plant in temporarily occupied Yevpatoriia were hit," the SBU said.

According to the SBU, the operation also struck infrastructure facilities at the port of Taman, where a large fire broke out.

In addition, the security service said it had hit the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka refinery, describing it as one of Russia's largest oil refineries. According to the SBU, the refinery has an annual processing capacity of about 15 million tonnes of crude oil and produces petrol, diesel fuel and aviation fuel.

"This special operation was carried out to fulfill the tasks set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reduce the military potential of the aggressor state," the SBU said.

Background: Earlier, the SBU reported that one of its Mamai naval drones had struck the Avero, a tanker belonging to Russia's shadow fleet, in the Black Sea, as well as three oil depots in Russia's Stavropol Krai.
