Magura drone carriers strike Russian radar assets in occupied Crimea, Ukrainian intelligence agency says – video

Group 13, a special unit within the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), used the latest Magura naval platforms to strike two Russian radar assets in occupied Crimea. The operation took place in late July 2026.

Details: Defence Intelligence clarified that the platforms used were FPV drone carrier platforms.

"...they struck the command vehicle of a Podlyot radar system, as well as the enemy's Parol-4 identification friend-or-foe (IFF) radar interrogator," the statement said.

"From now on, our Maguras pose a threat to the Russian occupiers on land as well – this is a fundamental shift of the fight into a new domain," said the commander of Group 13, whose alias is Thirteenth.

According to Defence Intelligence, Magura is a family of Ukrainian uncrewed naval platforms that includes the combat variants V5 and V7, as well as the non-combat V6P. The baseline V5 version supports swarm operations and automatic target tracking and is equipped with multi-channel satellite communications and thermal imaging cameras.

The newer V7 can be armed with AIM-9 or R-73 missiles or fitted with a combat module equipped with a machine gun. The V6P is designed for reconnaissance, patrol missions, search-and-rescue operations, and cargo transport.

Background: Engineers from the Omega Special Purpose Centre's Separate Diving Unit of Ukraine's National Guard, together with a Ukrainian IT company, have developed their first uncrewed naval system, which serves as a platform for FPV drones, carrying them closer to their target before they are launched to strike the Russians.
