One killed and eight injured in Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast

One person has been killed and eight have been injured in Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast since the start of 3 August.

Quote from the prosecutor's office: "...throughout 3 August 2026, the Russian army has been attacking settlements in Kherson Oblast using aircraft, tubed and rocket artillery, and drones of various types.

As of 17:30, one person is confirmed to have died and eight to have been injured as a result of Russian aggression."

Details: At around 13:30, Russian forces directed a drone at a civilian vehicle in Kherson, killing the 58-year-old man who was driving it.

In addition, eight people were injured in drone attacks in Kherson and the village of Sahaidachne, including a police officer.

At around 15:00, the Russians attacked a 31-year-old woman with a drone in central Kherson, causing her to suffer a blast injury and concussion. She is currently receiving medical treatment.

Houses, apartment blocks, lorries, service vehicles and cars were also damaged.

Background: On the morning of 3 August, Russian forces carried out four drone attacks on Kherson Oblast, injuring six people.
