Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that Ukraine will continue pressuring Russia to force it to end the war.

Quote: "We will continue [pressure on Russia – ed.]. Don't fixate on all these arguments: 40 days, 100 days, 115 days. The result is what matters. It's not so important how we enter this process [the negotiation process – ed.]. What matters far more is what we come out of it with. To come out of it with the result we need, we must be strong and maintain unity. That's all there is to it."

Details: Budanov also said that Russia still believes it can achieve its goals by military means.

"That's a mistaken belief, and all these years have proven it. Essentially, the war is at a dead end for them. Yes, there is some fighting, with or without advances… But strategically, it's been stuck in a corner for a long time," he noted.

Background: On 25 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had approved a 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine to pressure Russia into ending the war.
