Three killed in Russian guided bomb attack on Sumy, including two young girls

Russia struck civilian infrastructure in the city of Sumy with guided aerial bombs on the night of 3-4 August, killing two girls aged five and 10 and an elderly woman. Four people sought medical treatment.

Quote: "Two children and an elderly woman have been killed in Russian guided bomb strikes on Sumy overnight. The girls were five and 10 years old. Their bodies were recovered from under the rubble of their house."

Details: Hryhorov also said that four people had sought medical treatment after suffering from shock.

Updated information indicates that Russian forces dropped six guided aerial bombs on the city, striking civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian air defence forces reported that two more Russian guided aerial bombs had been intercepted before reaching populated areas.

The attack destroyed and damaged residential buildings and non-residential structures. Emergency services are continuing inspections and dealing with the aftermath of the Russian strike.
