Ukrainian online marketplace's losses from Russian strikes reach billions, biggest in company's history

Direct losses of Rozetka, one of Ukraine's largest retailers and online marketplaces, from the latest Russian attacks have reached billions of hryvnias, the biggest in the company's history.

Details: "Direct losses reach billions of hryvnias. We haven't calculated the exact figure yet, but it's a lot, a huge amount. These are the biggest losses in our history," Chechotkin said, adding that the company is still calculating the exact amount of the losses.

He also named several mechanisms through which the state could help companies affected, including more accessible war risk insurance with higher coverage limits, tax breaks during the recovery period, and preferential loans.

Separately, Chechotkin called for simplifying the rules around private air defence. He said current regulations are so complex that businesses are practically unable to make use of this mechanism.
