Ukraine's air defence forces intercepted 29 out of the 195 ballistic missiles Russia launched against Ukraine in July, and a further 40 failed to reach their targets.

Details: According to the Ministry of Defence, the ballistic missiles used by Russia included Iskander, 48N6DM, KN-23, Tsirkon and other types.

Details: In addition, Russia used 265 Kalibr, Iskander-K, Kh-101 and other types of cruise missiles in July, of which air defence forces intercepted 187.

As for attack drones, 8,653 were detected, and Ukrainian air defence shot down 5,143 Russian drones. Among the types used were Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas drones.

According to Ukraine's Air Force, Russian forces used over 9,000 strike drones and missiles during aerial attacks in July (not including reconnaissance drones).

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence noted that Ukraine's air defence intercepted over 5,300 drones and missiles last month while repelling massive Russian attacks.

The ministry said the count includes the results of work by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defence forces during the repelling of attacks.
