Russia is aiming to launch 200 ballistic missiles simultaneously, Ukraine's drone chief says

Robert "Magyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, has said that Russia is seeking to increase the number of ballistic missiles it can launch in a single salvo to 200.

Clarified: An earlier version of this article, citing AP, stated that Magyar had said the figure referred exclusively to ballistic missiles. Magyar has since clarified that he was referring to missiles of various types, and the AP editorial team has corrected the inaccurate wording.

"One clarification regarding a simultaneous missile salvo: the enemy currently has the capability to launch more than 70 (77) missiles of VARIOUS types from DIFFERENT launch systems, ships and aircraft. The enemy is working to increase the size of a single simultaneous salvo to as many as 200 missiles. This figure does NOT refer exclusively to ballistic missiles," he wrote.

Meanwhile, according to Ukraine's Defence Ministry, air defence forces intercepted 29 of the 195 ballistic missiles Russia launched against Ukraine in July, while another 40 failed to reach their targets.
