World DanceSport Federation lifts restrictions on Russians

The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has lifted all restrictions on Russian representatives and allowed them to compete in full status.

Details: Individuals holding Russian passports or sporting citizenship will participate in WDSF-sanctioned competitions in accordance with the general regulatory provisions applicable to all participants.

The release states that eligibility for participation and related rights continue to be governed by a number of documents: the WDSF statutes, competition rules, licensing requirements, disciplinary provisions and anti-doping obligations.

Prior to this, the IOC Executive Committee temporarily lifted the disqualification of the Russian Olympic Committee and suspended its recommendations on restricting the participation of Russian athletes.

Following this decision, a number of international sports organisations lifted restrictions on the participation of athletes from the aggressor state at the international level.
