Russians attack shopping centre and industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia – photo

Russian forces have struck a shopping centre and an industrial facility in the city of Zaporizhzhia with drones.

Details: Fedorov reported that Russian forces had attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones.

Regarding the strikes, he said one had hit a shopping centre, causing a fire.

Fedorov added that another strike had hit the premises belonging to a city's industrial facility.

Background:

• The Zaporizhstal (Zaporizhzhia Steel Works), one of the leading companies in the metallurgical industry in Ukraine, completely halted operations following a Russian ballistic missile strike on 11 August. Seven employees of the plant were killed and another 21 people were injured.
• A Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on the night of 11-12 August sparked a fire at a shopping centre belonging to Epicentr, a chain of home improvement superstores, and left around 1,200 consumers without electricity.
• Russian forces attacked an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia on 13 August.
