Sources have told Ukrainska Pravda that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) are conducting searches as part of a special operation at premises belonging to MP Vadym Stolar, who was elected to parliament from the now-banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, and Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the President's Office. Update: Ukrainska Pravda sources say Stolar is currently abroad.

At 11:15, Stolar confirmed that NABU is conducting investigative actions at his home. He said he is cooperating with the NABU representatives and is not obstructing their work.

"In response to media enquiries, I can confirm that NABU investigators are conducting investigative actions at my home. I am openly cooperating with the representatives of the Bureau and am not obstructing the law enforcement officers' work," Stolar said.

Background:

  • NABU and SAPO reported earlier that they are conducting a special operation to expose a criminal organisation which investigators say has been operating under the leadership of a current and a former MP. Senior officials from the President's Office and other individuals are also said to be involved.
  • NABU did not name those involved or provide further details of the special operation, saying it would release more information later.
