Large-scale blackout reportedly occurs in occupied Crimea

A large-scale blackout occurred in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 19-20 August.

Details: According to monitoring Telegram channels, complete power outages have been reported in Simferopol, Sevastopol, Kerch, Feodosiia and Yalta.

Local residents said that before the power outage in Feodosiia, they heard three drones flying overhead, sporadic gunfire from mobile fire groups and three explosions near the Kafa power substation.

In addition, a jet-powered drone was spotted over the Yedi Quyu district (formerly known as Lenine district) heading towards Kerch.

Reports subsequently emerged of a complete blackout across the peninsula.

The exact cause of the large-scale blackout is currently unknown.
