Death toll from Russian attack on Kyiv rises to 12

The death toll from a Russian attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 19-20 August has risen to 12.

Quote from the State Emergency Service: "The number of people killed in the Russian attack on Kyiv has risen to six, with 33 people injured."
Update: Klitschko reported at 08:11 that the death toll in the capital had risen to 11, including seven in the Solomianskyi district.
The mayor later reported that another person had died in hospital, bringing the death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv to 12.

Details: The State Emergency Service previously reported that six people had been killed and 33 injured. Rescue workers freed two people from under the rubble.
Klitschko later reported that the death toll had risen to eight.

In the Darnytskyi district, non-residential and warehouse buildings were damaged.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, premises at a non-residential site were damaged, while warehouse buildings caught fire.

In the Solomianskyi district, the upper floors of a nine-storey residential building were destroyed in the attack and a fire broke out. The fire was extinguished. Windows were damaged in four nearby residential buildings.

A school and part of a children's hospital were also damaged in the Solomianskyi district. Windows were blown out at the medical facility and cars caught fire on its grounds. The fire was extinguished. Garages were also damaged in the district.
Emergency services continue to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack.
