Kyiv declares 21 August day of mourning after Russian attack

A day of mourning has been declared in the city of Kyiv on 21 August for those killed in a large-scale Russian attack on the capital, which claimed the lives of 12 people.

Quote: "21 August has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv in memory of the victims of a large-scale enemy attack on the capital."

Details: Flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings in Kyiv. State institutions, private businesses and organisations have also been asked to lower the national flags.

All entertainment events in the capital will also be banned on 21 August.

Klitschko said emergency crews are continuing their work to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack in the Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
