Russians destroy warehouse of ice cream producer in Kyiv

Russian forces destroyed a distribution warehouse belonging to ice cream producer Fayni Lyodu in Kyiv on the night of 19-20 August.

Details: The warehouse supplied not only the capital but also 12 other Ukrainian cities, the company said.

Quote: "Tonnes of ice cream, equipment, vehicles... We are already working on alternative supply, storage and logistics routes. However, there may be disruptions to availability and the range of products. We ask for your understanding. The most important thing is that people are safe."

Background:

  • A warehouse belonging to the Fora grocery chain in the settlement of Martusivka, Kyiv Oblast, was hit in a Russian attack. Fresh produce was stored there.
  • Food warehouses and Red Cross facilities were damaged in Boryspil as a result of a Russian attack on the night of 19-20 August.
  • A warehouse containing goods for Varus supermarkets in Boryspil was damaged by a Russian missile strike overnight.
