Russia attacks EKO Market logistics warehouse

A warehouse belonging to the EKO Market supermarket chain was damaged on the morning of 20 August as a result of a large-scale Russian missile attack.

Details: All employees are alive and unharmed, and all EKO Market supermarkets are operating normally, the chain added.

"We are doing everything possible to ensure our customers have the necessary products on our shelves. There are products available! We are working," the statement reads.

"The team is already doing everything necessary to ensure the stores are supplied and the shelves remain stocked with the necessary goods," the company's CEO Krystyna Kovtun added.

Background:

  • A warehouse belonging to the Fora grocery store chain in Martusivka in Kyiv Oblast, where fresh produce was stored, was damaged as a result of a Russian strike.
  • Food warehouses and Red Cross facilities in Boryspil were damaged in an overnight Russian attack, with fires still being extinguished at the sites of impact.
  • On the night of 19-20 August, a warehouse containing goods for Varus supermarkets in Boryspil was damaged in a Russian missile strike.
